There are some very exciting times ahead for me. Over the past year, I've worked on several webOS apps, some of which have never seen the light of day, for one reason or another, some of which are in the App Catalog, and some of which are still in development. More recently, over the past few months, I've become more involved in the webOS community, such as with many homebrew contributions, such as getting Classic to run on webOS 2.0+, along with various patches. I've also been a contributor to webOSroundup, which is in my opinion, the best webOS news website out there, since late February.
As of April 30th, I am no longer a contributor to webOSroundup. I am still an app developer, however I will no longer be taking an active role in the homebrew community (as such, I am not continuing support of the Classic workaround).
There is a reason for all of this. I am still a webOS user, so no worries that I am leaving. In fact, I am actually more involved in webOS now than ever before. The way I am is quite simple, actually... I am a Developer Relations Intern (Community Management) at HP/Palm now and I will be starting there on May 23rd. As a Developer Relations Intern, I hope to be able to help other developers better than I currently can, plus I can see how I like working at HP/Palm, a very fast paced environment. It will also allow HP/Palm to trial me, to be able to see if I am up to the task, and hopefully after Summer or sometime in the next few years I can work there full time, rather than just be an intern.
I just signed the offer letter today, so there are still a few things remaining, like moving out to Sunnyvale, California for the summer, but it is official now.
